My g-g-great Grandmother was, Eva Lucinda BLACKARD. She was born about 1867/68 in Illinois, (possibly in the Logan Co. area) and both of her parents were born in Ohio. I do not know the names of her parents. Eva may have moved to Kansas after the birth of her daughter, Anna Mercier Marler in 1883. Anna's Father was Lystra Pat Marler, it is said that Eva & Lystra were never married. Grandma Anna always said she was, "Black Dutch" ?

I need to correspond with Blackard families who were in Ohio and then moved into Illinois by or before 1868.
