Thank you Fritz. Since Nathan Stanley was b. 1802 and he named one of his sons, my g-grandfather, Jefferson Jackson Stanley, I thought maybe he did participate under Andrew Jackson. Jefferson J. and another son were both in the Civil War. I will try to find the years he could have been involved with the Seminole uprisings but I still hope to find his name somewhere so I can send for his records and learn more about that particular war.
