There is only one Samuel who filed for pension as serving in the Black Hawk war, SA-1069 and SC-3058 filed 29 Aug. 1892 in Texas, he served in Pollard's Company of the 4th MO Vols. No Thomas filed for service in the Black Hawk war. You will have to write to the National Arhives in Washinton for the pension of Samuel.
