Ben T Blackman Killed By Register --Ben T.Blackman and his wife had parted and his wife was living on the North Johnson's place.Monday night Blackman got an automobile at Glenwood and went over to see his wife about getting herto take one of the children. On reaching the home of his estranged wife he found Register living with his wife. Blackman broke in the door when Register came from behind the house and shot Blackman. Blackman was found several hundred yards from the house with his right arm shot off and a pistol hole in his heart.Blackman lived in Pike county and the killing took place in Coffee county.
I am looking for both burial sites and any info on John T BlackmAn's parents from So Carolina.
Some say that they are part of the Joseph Blackman, (Burrell, Asa, Wm R. John Calhoun) line and I can't find them in that tree.
John T Blackman is the father of Armintus Polly Jane Mint Blackman/mon, most people know about her.
Anything you can offer will be of great assistance.Thank you! email me if you want.
