Hi, I ran across James B. Blackmore in OH census, this probably won't help much but might be a clue..
1850 Fayette Co in Union Twp
James B. Blackmore age 21
Minerva age 20 (wife)
The 1840 Ohio index shows a Joseph Blackmore who had teenage to younger sons in Fayette Co..
The 1850 OH census has a Nathaniel Blackmore age 41 born in PA and his oldest son was named Joseph..
