1881 U.K. Census at Blackmore Site

It has taken a month and a half, but I've finally done it. Take a look on the database page to find extracts of the 1881 U.K. census organized by census region.

I've used a soundex search to extract the records which means that in addition to Blackmore it also contains variants such as Blakemore, Blackmur, Blackmoor, etc. The files come from the 1881 UK census CD's distributed by the LDS Church family history center.

The files are in rich text format (.rtf) which can be read by word processors or Microsoft Wordpad. Microsoft also has a plug-in viewer for Internet Explorer can display RTF files. (Must be downloaded from the Microsoft web page.)

I'd really like to hear from someone who found this information usefull -- especially since it has taken so much work to pull the information.
