Maryland Blackmore's - Some Questions
Posted by: Dave Osborne (ID *****6312) Date: July 06, 2003 at 07:30:54

1.What's the source of Samuel Blackmore having been born 1702?

2.What's the source for Samuel having been a son of James of London, England?

3.What's the source of Samuel's wife having been a Wilkinson?

Concerning the first two questions.....I've seen James given a birthyear of "Abt. 1677" and death year of "1712/1715". James' wife has not been named, but I HAVE seen her as Jane and Anne in various pedigrees. Also, there are pedigrees that list other children of James......William, Nathaniel, and Anna. Evidently someone researched Samuel back to England a long time ago and found some of the above information. It would be nice to find out WHO that someone was and get hold of their research and try to expand on it.

Concerning question #3......I've done quite a bit of searching on Samuel's wife with no luck at all. Going by naming patterns of his children I tend to think her name may have been Elizabeth.

4.Who was Charles, first born son of Samuel, named for?

5.Has anyone had any luck in researching the two daughters of Charles and Mary (Dawson).....Elizabeth and Eleanor?

6.Has anyone researched Mary, daughter of Samuel Sr.? In Samuel's will she is named as (what looks to be) Mary Redensen Loyd.

I have quite a number of questions concerning the children of Samuel Sr., their wives and children, but I'll leave them for another post.
