Hi Mark,

I recognise the family from my database of Blackmores of Devon.
Silas's father was Richard Blackmore (b1801) who married Mary Lane on 19 Feb 1833 in Shirwell. They had seven children, all born in Bishops Tawton: Anne (b 1834), Charles (b1836), Paul (b ca 1836), Silas (b 1839), Samuel (b1841), Joshua (b 1844), Richard (b 1848).
I cannot go any further back than Richard.
