David,
I probably will be of no help, however.........
I have a Humphrey Courtney BENHAM marrying an Elizabeth BLACKMORE in March 1800 at Kentisbury, Devon. Their child was Sarah Courtney Benham. The "Courtney" name is used a bit by the Benhams, so there must be a connection? Is the Courtney family, part of the "Courtenay" family?

I have not been able to get much on the Benhams of Devon or the Blackmores. Do you connect with this Elizabeth???

regards,

John Brittan Pohlman
