Hi I am trying to trace the family of George James Blackmore b 1852, England
As my Great Grandmother remembers
His grandfather was quite wealthy and he lived with him

George was in the Royal Navy, traveled all over, including singapore, china were he had a knife thrown in his heal, years later he deid from blood poisioning from this wound.

When George returned home he fell in love with one of the servents (Mary Ann Eaton) The marriage was forbidden, but they eloped anyway and they were sent "away", To Canada.

They had 2 sons George John Blackmore born 1887 in England
And Reginald Thomas Blackmore born 1965

George John Blackmore was a baby when he and his parents came to canada, York area...He was a successful Banker and married Winifred Spendif they had to sons
Ralph and George Jr. Who was a pilot in WW2 and shot down.

Reginald married Leah Dube, they lived in the Parry Sound Region, Ontario Canada and had 7 children Mary Eleanor Blackmore b. 1914 was my Great Grandmother.

Any one who has any info or has heard some of this family story please contact, we speculate that the marriage to the servant my have written him out of they family and no one spoke of such things which is why we can't seem to locate family relations.
