James W Blackmore (1842-1914) was the husband of Lola Malinda Ezell (1868-1963), one of my husband's paternal gg-aunts. Aunt Lola was his second wife, married in 1900. His first wife was Maria(h) Louise Ewing (abt 1845-1896).

Uncle Blackmore was a Civil War veteran, mayor of Gallatin, and TN state senator. Their house was indeed next to Trousdale Place but has been torn down.

As he had no issue from either marriage, Aunt Lola passed all his and her family mementos to my father-in-law.
