Paul and Joseph Blackshear, lived in Sumter Co., Ga., and Bibb Co., Ga., died Macon, Ga., 23 Feb., 1911, buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Macon. M. EDITH ROPER, of Athens, Ga., and South Carolina, issue none.Photographer, Muster Roll, of 2nd Company E., First Confederate Regiment Infantry, Bartow County, Ga., Thomas J. Massey, Captain, 1 May, 1862. "Blackshear, Thomas B. Private, 14 May, 1864, wounded 1864, Roll for Sept. 16, 1864, (last roll on file), shows him in Macon, Ga., Hospital. Wounded 16 Sept., 1864, admitted to Ocmulgee Hospital, Macon, Ga., 17 March, 1865, because of gunshot wound in left leg followed by gangrene, causing great loss of tissue and probable permanent disability for marching. Returned to duty, 29 April, 1865. H. M. Askew report dated 24 Aug., 1953. 1870 Census Sumter Co., Ga. Raines papers.
