I was looking for some information about a Blagrave ancestor from Indiana (Sarah Elizabeth Blagrave, born 20 Oct 1844)when I stumbled across your message.

It appears that your Richard and his wife Nancy might have moved to Cedar Bayou in eastern Harris County, Texas, near Houston. I found a web page with the 1870 Harris Co. census, and noticed a Richard "Blograve" and wife Nancy with children Harrison, Charlotte M., John E., Emma C. and James E. All were born in Indiana except James E. Does this sound like the family you are researching?
