I have not found much about the Blagraves. My ancestor, Sophia Blagrave was born 1787 in Newberry, Berkshire Co., England. She married John Adams in 1810 in Berkshire Co., England. She came to America with her family sometime after 1831 from the Shoreditch Parish of London. She moved with them to Huron Co., Ohio. John Adams died in Norwalk, Huron Co., Ohio in 1849. Sophia died in Norwalk, Huron Co., Ohio in 1850. Her parents were Joseph and Elizabeth Blagrave of Newberry, Berkshire Co., England. Her father was a lawyer, I believe. She had one brother named Josiah.
Sophia and John Adams had 7 children: Eliza, Sophia, George, Joseph, Elizabeth, John, and Alfred. John died in 1831 and Alfred died 1830 both in London. George died in 1838 in Norwalk, Huron Co., Ohio. Eliza married Henry Sheffield in England in 1833. Joseph and Elizabeth both died in 1850 in Norwalk, Huron Co., Ohio.
