Thanks for the response. Since I posted my msg I have obtained a copy of Philip & Fredericka (Blaich) Schunk's marriage record. It stated that they lived on 121 Willet St (I think in Brooklyn) as of Feb 1, 1874. She is listed as being born in F??renberg, Germany around 1856. Her parents are listed as John Blaich & Fredericka (Guenther??? - hard to make out). They moved to Newark at some point later - probably late 1880s. My Great Grandfather, Peter Schunk, was born in Plainfield, NJ on Apr 18, 1892. Fredericka (Blaich) Schunk died in Plainfield on June 25, 1893. If I can ever find her obituary report, maybe I'll be able to learn more. There is also a Fredericka Blaich who married a Breitenbach in NY, which really confuses issues as both Philip Schunk & Fredericka Schunk are buried in the Breitenbach Plot of the Lutheran Cemetery in Queens. Not sure how that connects - but I am sure it does. Dave
