Based on my visit to Newark, I would suggest that for a death record, you contact the NJ state archives in Trenton (State Registrar--Search Unit, NJ Dept. of Health, PO Box 370, Trenton 08625). For wills, contact the surrogate's court of the county where the person died. For an obituary notice, contact the public library in the city where the person died (they have local newspapers on microfilm). The Newark library's New Jersey Room has Newark city directories on microfilm, very useful in tracking ancestors who lived in that city. I have details on Blaiches in Newark but not in other firstname.lastname@example.org.
