Alexander Cameron Blaikie was my husband's great great grandfather. His son, Thomas King Blaikie, married Margaret Brewster; and they had one daughter--Elisabeth Brewster Blaikie. She married George Keith Kimball, II. Their children were Margaret Brewster Kimball and George Keith Kimball, III. Margaret married Henri Tracy Mershon, and they had a daughter named Elisabeth Brewster Mershon. She was my husband's mother.

Alexander Blaikie had six brothers and four sisters. You were correct in your hypothesis. One of Alexander's sisters--Janet Blaikie--married your great great grandfather, Thomas Frasier.
