Thank you very, very much. This is a real breaktrough for me.
I was wondering where this information comes from. A publciation, family bible, etc.?
Also, do you know the names of Alexander Blaikie's siblings?
To complete the information: Thomas Fraser (1832-1902) was my great-great grandfather. He came from Pictou, NS, and settled in El Dorado County, California, specifically, the town of Placerville, CA. I believe he owned a dry goods store. He also was a politician. He was a California state senetor and assemblyman. Later, he was appointed to the federal land office.
Thomas married Mary Ginevie Edner in El Dorado Co. on August 16, 1863. They had the following children: Maggie Louise, Thomas Henry, Alzaidia Ann, Mary Gertrude, Frederick Louis, Annie Janet, Edna May.
Annie Janet Fraser was my great-grandmother. She lived from June 24, 1876 to October 14, 1960. She married Harry Herschel Beauchamp in 1897. Harry was a physician who was born in Ohio.
They had two sons: Herschel Fraser & Frederick Louis Beauchamp. Fred (born 1909) never married and died in 1989. Herschel (my grandfather) was born on July 05, 1906. He married Elva Aileen Becker on February 17, 1935.
Herschel and Elva had one son: Fraser Emmet Beauchamp (2/22/1943-2/9/1989). Fraser was my father.
Fraser married Diane Leachman Randall on December 04, 1966 in Vallejo, CA. They had one son, me, Erik Randall Beauchamp. I was born on 7/25/1969 in Sacramento, CA.
I married Dedra DiAnn Beauchamp on 10/26/1997. So far, we have one daughter, Larissa Colette Beauchamp, who was born on 12/19/2001. She plays beside my chair as I write this.
All this information I got was from a family bible Thomas Fraser must have purchased in approximately 1862 and from my own first hand knowledge.
Also, more detail on this information can be found at http://home.attbi.com/~erikbeauchamp/.
