Thank you, Sandy.

This is a real breakthrough for me and I really appreciate it.

I was wondering if you knew if William Blaikie was the son of Charles Blaikie? Charles Blaikie came to Pictou in 1775 with a group known as the Dumfries Settlers, having first arrive at Prince Edward Island. Bad luck forced them to Pictou. This is mentioned in J.P. MacPhie's book "Pictonians at home and abroad : sketches of professional men and women of Pictou County, its history and institutions."

And if so, who was William's mother?

Thanks very much for your time and effort.

Sincerely,

Erik Beauchamp
