Looking for anyone who may be related to the family of John R. Blake, born 18 June 1857 in Maine. Married Bertha Louise Fredericks/Friedrichs(sp?) who was born in Germany. They began a family in Nebraska by 1882. Eldest son, Fred, was born in Nebraska, 1883, and all but the last child were born in Missouri (the last, in Louisiana).

In the 1900 Missouri census, he's listed as a farmer in Richland township, Vernon County (and renting a house) - but other than that, worked for the railroad. In 1910, he owned a house (or had mortgage) and was employed as a "foreman, steam railroad" in Kentwood, LA, Tangipahoa Parish.

One son (Ed) moved back to NE - and he had one son (Raymond) who lived in Fremont NE and another (Harvey) who lived in Coffeville KS.

I'm hoping there are relatives in Nebraska who are also doing family research and read this mssg. Thanks for any connection that might be made...
Nancy Blake Thompson
