An archivist at the Belchertown, MA Stone House Museum has been conducting an investigation of Emeline Blake/Princess Morning Dew due to a lot of inquiry re: her. His latest theory is that Princess Morning Dew and her brother, name unknown, were adopted by Jonathan Blake from New Braintree or Brookfield, MA. The brother was renamed Jonathan Blake Jr. and Princess Morning Dew renamed Emeline. The next step would be a search of adoption records for Worcester county or churches in New Braintree, MA looking for an adoption of 2 native american children by Jonathan Blake. (if anyone's up for it?!)
This theory is based on the fact that a Jonathan Blake (probably the Jr., Emeline's brother) has been a neighbor to Aaron Munsell and Emeline in several Belchertown censuses, and he is similar in age to Emeline. Jonathan Blake Jr, the man thought to be Emeline's brother, married Emily Shedd in 1850.
Emeline Blake died in a carriage accident in October 1857. (Belchertown?)
From my own research, I think Emeline's adoptive (or real? who knows?) mother's name was Bethiah Thrasher, as found in a marriage record to Jonathan Blake in 1806 in New Braintree, and the fact that Emeline named a daughter Bethiah (middle name). We don't know what tribe she may have been from, but we do have an unconfirmed photograph of her from the Stone House.
The archivist has a folder of information. I posted here what my mother was able to transcribe. If anyone investigates and finds anything, please contact me!
