A suit in Jones Co. GA in 1819 shows Leonard Carlton had another daughter, Catherine, who was married to Aquila Blakeley. The suit shows Catherine, as a granddaughter of Thomas Trice, was entitled to, and awarded, property arising out of the estate of Barnet Majors Estate. Apparently Leonard Carlton as guardian of Catherine refused to turn over the property to Catherine, and she prevailed in the suit. See:

Abstract: Aquilla Blakeley and his wife Catharine petition to settle a dispute regarding the estate of Catharine's grandfather, Thomas Trice. In his 1801 will, Trice had directed that three slaves that he expected to receive in the settlement of a suit from the estate of one Barnett Majors were to be equally divided

among his five grandchildren. The suit was settled in Trice's favor and the slaves were delivered to Catherine's father, Leonard Carlton. The slaves and the children born since that time are still in Carlton's possession, and the latter refuses to distribute the estate. The petitioners ask that Carlton answer their allegations and that the court settle the dispute.
