I have a copy of an obituary for Frank Blakeney from a South Carolina newspaper, but it has no date on it.It mentions a B. F. Blakeney of Bonham, TX.Here are the pertinent facts:
Frank Blakeney was a native of Chesterfield, SC, and left Blakeney Roads, SC in 1852 for Alabama, where he married his first wife about a year later. His wife died during the first year of the war, and he remarried again after the war and moved to Texas (I think about 1880).In his obituary, 3 children survive him: B. F., of Bonham, W. A., of Kershaw, SC, and Mrs. P. M. Green (Annie Olivia), of Jardin, TX.He had 3 full brothers: P. M. at Plains, Jno. C at Monroe, NC, and G. W. in Texas; 3 half brothers: Rochel and Preston near Monroe, SC and Whiteford at Plains, and a half sister, Victoria, no town listed.
I don't know if this is your B. F. T.'s father, but if he is, email me for some additional family information.
