I have Thomas Blakeney born in 1756 in NC. He married Susannah Lowry as his first wife from Chesterfield Co., SC. It is said that she sue for divorce. Thomas took a slave girl named Harriett given to him by his father to Montgomery Co, Tn. There he paid $2000 for her freedom. They had five sons. Fredick Blakeney, John Blakeney, Tobias Blakeney, born in 1807, the year Susannah died. Oliver Blakeney and Thomas Blakeney, Jr. Thomas died 1822 in Montgomery Co., Tn Harriett died in 1823. They both left wills. In Thomas' will he acknowledges a daughter.
"The natural love and affection I have for my daughter Jane Lucy, late widow of Cadwallader Lucy of Washington County, Ala"
Looking for the mother of Jane.
