Tobias BLAKENEY; b: 1805 in North Carolina; d: November 1857 in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas; married: Polly b: Abt. 1822 in Arkansas; d: November 1857 in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas. They both died about the same time and the children were left orphaned. They were scattered to various family members and friends. The children were:
(1) Elizabeth BLAKENEY; b: Abt. 1838 in Arkansas
(2) Arrion Tobias BLAKENEY; b: Abt. 1840 in Arkansas
(3) Thomas H. BLAKENEY; b: December 16, 1844 in Izard County, Arkansas; d: June 16, 1936 in Hope, Eddy County, New Mexico
(4) John BLAKENEY; b: Abt. 1848 in Izard County, Arkansas
(5) Melinda Adaline BLAKENEY; b: Abt. 1849
(6) Rhoda Anne BLAKENEY; b: Abt. 1852
(7) William BLAKENEY; b: Abt. 1855
(8) Benjamin Franklin BLAKENEY; b: March 11, 1856 in Bonham, Fannin County, Texas; d: April 11, 1933 in Camp Wood, Real County, Texas
