Sir Percy Blakeney was a fictional character, in "The Scarlet Pimpernel".

to read about him and the Author. It also list a "Timeline", for his life and how it was related to the French Revolution.

The painting of "The Laughing Cavalier", was done in 1624, and was incorporated into the novel, by the author, as "Sir Percy Blakeney" (aka as "Diogenes", or "The Scarlet Pimpernel"), being the model for it.
