Blakeney Y-Chromosome DNA Project
Posted by: Amy Blakeney (ID *****5676) Date: October 31, 2003 at 19:14:22

A Blakeney Y-chromosome genealogical DNA project has begun, open to all Blakeney/Blakney/Blackeney branches around the world. I am the uncompensated volunteer liaison for the project. Y-chromosome DNA is passed down from father-to-son, generation to generation, century after century - providing a powerful tool for sorting out which participating males bearing the Blakeney surname share a common ancestor, and which don't. This helps focus documentary research in productive directions. Contact me via if you are interested in the project.
