I would be very interested in receiving this information also. I have been researching the "Blakeney, Blakney" name off and on for a couple of years and keep getting mixed up information. Would be nice to see what the book has to say.

I have research on William Blakeney (Blakley in some records) emmigrating from Ireland to South Carolina in about 1767 aboard the ship "Earl of Donegal" and then 2 of his sons (David and Chambers) serving with the 96th Stevenson's Creek Militia June-Dec. 1780. There is reportedly another son, Thomas but I have not been able to locate any information on him.

Anyway, David and Chambers left SC and landed in Nova Scotia, David moved to the Moncton, New Brunswick area (he is my direct line back) and his brother Chambers settled in Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia - this is where the books on the Nova Scotia Blakeney's may be able to help me in my research.

Looking forward to hearing some more on those books... any idea of who is publishing them?

Carmel Vivier (nee Blakney)
