Can anyone identify possibilities for the Blakeney who married an Elizabeth Dudley born c1740 and died 1823? This Blakeney said to be an officer in the war (Revolutionary War? War of 1812?. Blakeney was either dead or living apart from Elizabeth when she died 1823. This was a second marriage for Elizabeth Dudley and took place after 1776/1777. Elizabeth Dudley thought to have first lived Wake/Nash/Edgecomb area, NC. Place of death unknown. She had Dudley family in Pendleton Dist., SC after the war, later in Todd/Christian County, KY, Carroll Co., TN, an c 1830 in Montgomery County, TN. (Todd & Christian counties in KY are adjacent to Montgomery County, TN.) Her date of death is recorded in the family Bible which which may indicate she was living in KY or TN near family when she died.
