Lucy, I am also a descendent of Thomas Blakeney, son of Capt. John, but my direct ancestor is Thomas' son Alvin, who is one of five boys he had with Harriet. So Alvin and Jane were half-siblings. I am just starting to unravel this story and it is very intersting but also very confusing, as there are so many Blakeney branches. My Alvin ended up in Wabash County IL after he married Elizabeth Adams in TN. I am having a hard time finding out much info about either of them. But I have documents now confirming that he was the son of Thomas. Just wondered if you had any other information that may be helpful to me? You are the first person I have found that is from my "line"!
