New article on Capt. John Blakeney's origins

Hi everyone,
In an attempt to pinpoint the sources of family legend which gives the birthplace of Capt. John Blakeney (1732-1832) as Mt. Blakeney in County Limerick, Ireland, I have written an article to build a case for Mt. Blakeney, using circumstantial evidence. It is based on previously known sources, including John Oscar Blakeney's book, as well as additional sources I have been able to find using Google Books.

Since we have no contemporary records from Capt. John's time which answer the question, I have tried to find out if this information originally came from people who may have known Capt. John personally.

To read the article, go to

Click on the article, "Reading Between the Lines: Capt. John Blakeney and the Case for Limerick".

Feedback is welcome!
