I am trying to track the lineage of my grandfather, Joseph Kenaston Blakeney, whose great great uncle may be Sir William Blakeney. I was able to track the lineage up to Thomas Blakeney, Sr. who was born around 1746 in England and immigrated from Ireland in 1765 to NYC. He married Catherine Burbank and had 3 children, Thomas Blakeney, Jr., David Blakeney, and Jacob Blakeney whom I believe was born in 1810 in Brooklyn, NY and who may be my great great grandfather. During your research for your book did you come across this lineage of the Blakeney family? Is Sir William Blakeney related to Captain John Blakeney and how is Thomas Blakeney Sr. related to them? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
