Am seeking information on John Blakey who was publican of the Smyth's Arms in Wortley, Leeds from about 1860 until his death in the mid eighteen eighties. He was a councillor and Alderman of the City of Leeds. He was born in Bagby, Yorkshire and prior to that the family lived in the Dishforth/ Topcliffe area of North Yorkshire,
