18th/19th C: BLENKHORNs near Kendal, ENG

One of my 2xgt-grandmothers was born Mary Blenkhorn at Skelsmergh near Kendal, Westmorland in 1836. Following her marriage to Thomas Fox, she had a daughter Jane who in turn married James Fishwick, my late-mother's paternal grandfather.

Mary's father was Edward Blenkhorn (sometimes spelled "Blenkharn") born at Orton, Westmorland, in 1792; he farmed at Thornyslack, Skelsmergh, for around 50 years and died there in 1870.

His father was John Blenkhorn (1752-1818), also born at Orton, and apparently it was he who moved his family to the farm at Thornyslack. I only know John's birth year from his age at death, and known nothing of his parentage.

Each generation had siblings. If anyone is connected to this family I'd be delighted to hear.
