Blenkhorn Family Genealogy Forum
I think the comment is 'bullseye'.
Thomas Blenkhorn, a brewer aged 29 from Apsley, Huddersfield married Lillias Gloag, 22 years of 22 Athole Street, Perth, Scotland in April 1858 (for some reason I don't have the exact date but I can get it if you want). His father was given as Thomas Blenkhorn, Brewer and his mother as Jane North. Witnesses were R S Gentle and E H Grasby. Lillias's parents were Matthew Gloag, Wine Merchant and Margaret Brown (she was deceased at date of marriage). Matthew was my husband's 4 x gt grandfather's brother. Matthew was also the founder of the brand of whisky now known as the 'Famous Grouse' of which you may have heard (or sampled!). I don't know what happened to them after they married. Lillias did not die in Scotland and they do not seem to appear on the index to the 1881 census. Any clues. I live in Aberdeen in Scotland. Where are you? My email address is email@example.com
