I am glad to hear from you. I have had tech difficulties and being a novice, I always have to wait on someone else to help me get out of a problem. I'm afraid I don't have info on Minerva Jane and Joseph, but do know some details above gg-grand, John. You may already have this, but here goes. John C was born between 1800 and 1810. He was the son of Henry and Mary(Polly). Other brothers were Christopher(1808),Absalom(1807),David(1803)and Jacob(1796). David marrried Mary(Polly), and John married Matilda, both daughters of Wilson E. Coats or Coates of Bedford County. John C and his brothers were probably born in Lee Co Va. While Absalom went to Greene Co, Ohio, Christopher went to Indiana with bro. John and mom, Polly. John and his family were listed in 1840 Indiana, but not in 1850. Gary Blessing says they also were in Kentucky. John's dad, Henry, was the 8th child of Jacob Blessing and ElizabethRitschardt from the German side of the Swiss Alps. I have some more info on them for later if you want. I hope this helps fill in some blanks. I'm 30 minutes outside of Nashville, so do my research there when I get the chance. Again, I'm thrilled to hear from you and hope you'll buzz me back.
