Hi, Cheryl,
my great-great-great grandmother was Frances Blevins. She was born about 1819/1820.She met and married John F. Widener on October 27, 1836 in Johnson Co., Tennessee. This is were Frances lived up to the time she married John F. Widener. He was from Washington Co., Virginia. They had the following children: Samuel Robinson Widener, William B. Widener, Elijah D. Widener, James H. Widener, Sarah "Sallie"Widener, Jonathan Widener, Lucy Widener, and Susan Widener. According to the 1860 Census of washington County, Virginia. It list Frances being born in North Carolina.Over the years I have always heard that Indian blood ran through my line.I was not for sure how. Until, I ran across your article, "List of Blevins applied to Indian Rolls."That maid me wonder if the Indian blood came through Frances' line.I do not have who her parents were. But I was wondering if you could help me find a link, and tell me if you think that the Indian blood did come through Frances (Blevins) Widener.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!Donnie Campbell
