Fairlawn, VA - David Lynn Blevins, 56, died Saturday,
January 29, 2011. He was born on January 3, 1955, in
Radford, VA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lotrus Stallard
Blevins and Thurman Blevins; and a brother, Jerry Jason

He is survived by two brothers, Larry Allen Blevins and
wife Carla Pamperin Blevins, of Buchanan, VA, and Glenn
Kirby Blevins and wife Alice Ann Whitmore Blevins, of
Martinsville, VA; nephew, Kenneth Todd Blevins and wife
Patricia Watts Blevins, of Purcellville, VA; niece, Shannon
Blevins White, of Buchanan, VA; three great-nephews,
'Hunter' James G. White III, Jason Wyatt Blevins, and
Brian Daniel Blevins; and an uncle, Kenneth Pickford
Stallard and wife Rita Dingus Stallard, of Loudon, TN.

David had been residing at Richfield Nursing Home in Salem,
VA, and we wish to express our gratitude to the staff and
to Dr. Syed T. Haider and the medical staff at Lewis-Gale
Hospital. Never a more gentle soul than David lived, and
he was loved by those who came to know him and he will
forever be in our memories.

Funeral services will be held at Fairlawn Baptist Church,
with Pastor Danny Collins officiating. Visitation will be
from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at
the church.

Services will be held starting at 7 p.m., on February 1,

Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, in Dublin,
VA, on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at 11 a.m.

Funeral arrangements are made by DeVilbiss Funeral Home in
Radford. Phone 540-639-2422.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairlawn
Baptist Church General Fund.
