John Melvin 'Daddy John' Blevins, 72, of Knoxville, TN,
formally of Marietta, GA, passed away Thursday, March 3,
2011, peacefully at home.

Mr Blevins graduated from Marietta High School in 1956 and
the University of Georgia in 1961. Daddy John was a
devoted husband and grandfather, an avid outdoors man and
world traveler. For the last twenty one years he has been
an officer of his family owned business, Altruda's Italian
Restaurant. Before coming to Knoxville, John was employed
by the Coca-Cola Company as a chemist, working in the
quality control division.

Mr. Blevins was the son of Johnnie Mae and Hewell Blevins.

Daddy John is survived by children, Laura Meyer and husband
Paul, and John Bowen Blevins and wife Vicki; grandchildren,
Nicole, Amanda, Anthony Meyer, and Elyse, Laurina, and
Hannah Blevins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Mr.
Blevins on March 12th, 2011, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Trout
Unlimited, 1300 North 17th Street, Suite 500, Arlington,
VA 22209-3801, Attention Memorial Giving.
