Aubrey Dean Blevins, 69, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away
Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. He
was born September 28, 1941,

A native of Carter Co TN, he was a son of the late Walter
and Alta Miller Blevins. He was a member of C Street Church
of Christ. He was a retired employee of Gordon Garmet
Corporation and a graduate of Unaka High School. Mr.
Blevins was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served as a Medical
Corpsman on the U.S. Enterprise during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
two infant brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara 'Katie'
Blevins, of the home; two sons, A. D. Blevins, II, of the
home, and David Blevins, Sevierville, TN; one daughter,
Barbara Elaine Blevins and husband Stacy, Elizabethton,
TN; one grandson, Patrick Blevins; three granddaughters,
Faith Blevins, Hope Blevins, and Ilana Blevins; and one
brother, John Wesley Blevins, Elizabethton, TN.

The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home,
Elizabethton, on Friday, April 1, 2011, from Noon until
1 p.m.

A graveside service for Mr. Blevins will follow at 2 p.m,
Friday, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home,
TN, with Pastor Stephen Burkhart officiating. Military
honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49.
Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

Those who prefer memorials may make donations to
Alzheimer’s Association, Northeast TN Chapter, 207 North
Boone Street, Suite 1050, Johnson City, TN 37604.

Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton is serving the family.
