Kenneth H. Blevins, 83, of Durham-Hensley Health and
Rehabilitation, formerly of East Barton Ridge Road,
Greeneville, Greene Co TN, died Friday, January 6, 2012,
Mr. Blevins retired from Magnavox after 50 years of
service and enjoyed farming.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and
attended Middle Creek Church of God.
Born April 6, 1928, he was the son of the late Jerry and
Cora Arnold Blevins; and was preceded in death by his
first wife, Hazel Southerland Blevins; three brothers,
J. C. Blevins, Fred Blevins, and Paul Blevins; and five
sisters, Ruth Pickering, Virginia Lieb, Pearl Morrison,
Jessie Blevins, and Novella Blevins.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Carmack Blevins; one
daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Will McDonald, of
Chattanooga, TN; three stepdaughters, Jodi Davis and
husband Tom, of Rogersville, TN, Christy Lewis and husband
Jeff, of Greeneville, TN, and Robin Sauls and husband
Dwayne, of NM; his grandchildren, Daniel McDonald and wife
Tiffany, Nicholas McDonald, and Ashley Reeve and husband
Michael; stepgrandchildren, Trey, Haley, and Elijah Sauls,
and Ben Southerland; his great-grandchildren, Bailey
McDonald and Piper Reeve, a special niece, Suzanne Feltman;
a great-niece, Ellie Rose McLain; special brothers-in-law,
Russell Carmack, Chester Carmack, and Clarence Southerland;
special sisters-in-law, Kathy Stratton and Edna Young;
several other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous
nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Bill Moncier.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to
everyone who visited Kenneth during his extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., and
6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Monday, January 9, 2012, at Kiser-Rose
Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday,
January 10, 2012, in the funeral home chapel with
interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Robert
Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Lawrence
Seaton, Lloyd Shelton, Mickey Lowery, Ben Ware, Anthony
Tolliver, Chris Edwards, Blaine Scott, and Heath Ball.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James R. McKinney, Bill
Conduff, Robert and Katherine Brown, Freddie Johnson, Joe
Johnson, the nurses and staff of Durham-Hensley Care and
Rehabilitation, the staff of Takoma Regional Hospital, the
staff of Amedisys Hospice, Charles Ray Mitchell, and Jimmy
