Hi Tony, you ask what I have about a Moses Philip Blow son of Peter Blow and Julie Dumas. Here is what I have. This Peter Bleau/Blow is the son of Pierre Bleau and Theotiste Paulint. He was born around "Lac Champlain" in NY but was baptised on June 12, 1800 at L'Acadie, St Jean County, Quebec. The priest writes that he was six months and two days old when he was baptised, which would bring us back to Dec of 1799.However, Clyde Rabideau in his book Headstones Inscriptions of Clinton County New York, Vol 3, records from the cemetery that he was born "Nov 1799".In any case, he married Julie Dumas but no date can be found of their marriage because. as Benoit Pontbriand states in his forward to his repertoire of the church of St Josph-du-Corbeau, in Coopersville NY, that the church burnt in 1843 and no church records have ever been found.I surmise that he married in 1825 in Coopersville Ny.Interestingly, the US Census of 1850 list his family of ten children with their ages as follows:Peter, 22yrs, Sophia 20, William H 15, David L 13, John 11, Robert 9, Moses 7, Benjamin 5, Mary (Theotiste) 4 and Samuel 1. The last four children can all be found in the church records of St Joseph-du-Corbeau because they are after 1843, and their ages match their dates of birth. The oldeest son Peter E. Blow has quite a progeny of his own and ends up dieying in Washington State in 1911.You say Moses Philip married Julia Hartford.I don't have that info in my files would you please send it to me?Bob Maurier
