Carl changed his name to Charles BLUME, m. 18 MAR 1878 to Emma KORB (b. 3 FEB 1859). Children: Ida BLUME, b.MAR 1879; Caroline BLUME, b. NOV 1885; and Howard E. BLUME, b. NOV 1889. Howard m. Edith A. KINSEY in 1912; two children: Howard Jr., b. OCT 1912 (m. Eleanor E. POLLOCK) and Margaret E., b. OCT 1914 (m. George W. RICHARDS).
Carl/Charles' father was probably Phillip BLUM born 1810 in Germany. Phillip had several other children, among them Friedrick (Fredrick or Frederick) b. 1846 and Caroline b.1860. Fredrick was an artist in Baltimore MD, m. Katie ? bef 1870: children: Willie b.~1870, John b.~1873, Charles b.~1874, Frederick b.~1876 and Gustav b.~1879. Second wife: Mary ?.
