With regard to the existance of documentary evidence about the two John Blumes which prove the parentage of the various Johns and Darlings which occur in this family, the original will and other papers relating to John Blume, senior, who d. in 1816 are stored in an "apartment" in the Barnwell Co., SC Courthouse. I have a copy of his will (written March 7, 1814, probated February 16, 1816) and the attached Codicil written March 25, 1815 in which he names his wife Sarah and all of his children, i.e., John, Philip, William, Darling, Christiana (m. Robert Walker, son of Philip Walker), Polly (Mary - m. Johnson), Betsy (Elizabeth), Sally (Sarah, my ancestor - m. John Cain, son of Patrick Cain, Jr.). I will gladly share these documents with you if you will contact me directly.
