This family is listed on the FHC database, 1881 Canadian census as Thomas and Jane Boak, with 2 children James age 34 and John age 32. Son Robert age 33 lived in Cornwall also and had married Caroline by this time and had a son Robert, age 1 mo.
I am related to George Boak, born in Cooksville Ontario in 1862-63...his older sister Sarah, was born in Cornwall and their parent's names were Robert and Harriet. They had about 8 children that I've tracked down...I live in Ottawa and am going to the Archines tomorrow, I'll see what I can find out and report back. There are 2 books available on the Boakes, the latter one is The Boak/Boake Family in Canada which I have. I have long suspected that there were 2 families of Boaks in Cornwall....
