2 Lt. Jesse Carl BOAK, b. 15 Dec 1917 Independance, KS. d. 24 Jan 1945 as a POW on Japanese Hell Ship Brazil Maru. Served in the Army in Philippines, escaped the Bataan Death March April 1942. He was re-capatured as POW and went to Cabanatuan Japanese Prison Camp. He was loaded onto Hell Ships, and died on the Brazil Maru.

There is a WWII Memorial in Koshkonong, Missouri. http://ortrackm.missouri.org/towns/Koshkonong/index.html He is also listed at the American Cemetery in Manila, Philippines.
Jesse C. BOAK married Edith "LaRae" GURLEY, dau of Jack GURLEY and Marie FOX, in CA in early 1940s. No children. LaRae GURLEY, b. Jun 1915, d. 1989 CA. She never remarried.
Jesse C. BOAK and Betsy K. KALUA had a dau, Margie in 1939, HI.
Jesse C. BOAK and Rufina Josephine CLEMMER had two dau: Virgina 1943 and Dorothy 1945 Philippines.
The DNA was done 2005 and these are the siblings and children of Jesse C. BOAK.

William Price BOAK is son of Wright R. BOAK b. 1832 TN and Safrona J. WARD.
