Hi Marcel-you have all that info correct.
The family is full of Priests photograhers and Poets.
The family name of Barcroft goes back to the 1600-1700's-i'd have to check that- it is in our family tree book- it was a maiden name of someone who married into the boake family- my son has it as his second name and his great uncle also has it- we were not aware of its history until after they were named.
There is a book called Under The Beech tree written by dorothy Panzer/Boake -also known as dot sue..
she is American- beautifully researched.
As for the photography- all I can tell you is that our father now deceased visited him in his studio in Sydney and discussed the family connection. I have seen photos of him on the net and many of his photos are on line or in Vic.library?//let me know if you need more info- the split beard of an old man with white hair is either him or his dad I read that somewhere- good luck jo
