I am currently tracing my family tree and believe we have some family in common.

My great great grandfather was Walter Garatley and his mother's name was Ann. (From your information I believe Bennett). On the 1881 census she calls herself Ann Garatley and was living with three children, Walter, Harriet and Clara. Can you shed any more light on Ann's history? It seems from your research she had a previous relationship. I would love to find more out about Walter but have hit a brick wall. May have to order his birth certificate. After appearing on the 1881 census I can't find any more records with his name.(possibly because after that time he was known as Walter Vasey!) Any help would be appreciated.
