Margaret, my father seems to think that the boak line was most likely from Scotland, and there was a suggestion that us Boak's are decendents of a Scottish Earl. Alan Boak married a scottish lady by the name of Christina Maclaren, so there is a good chance that we are talking about the same Boak family. Please send me more information, or contact me by email.
