Dear Glennis, Yes, It is the same family. Francis Boake Carter's second wife was Mary
O'Farrell and they produced a whole second family, many of whom ended up in England. I have just come across a letter from Francis Boake Carter to his son Francis in America commenting that two of his sons (from the second marriage) had emigrated to Australia. I haven't had time to transcribe the old letters but am working on it and would be glad to share with you. I also have a few old family photographs. From the first family, sons Francis and William came to America with their mother and sisters, and they seem to have kept in close contact with Francis Boake Carter despite his second marriage. Would be glad to hear more from you. Anne Carter Mahaffey
